Warwick Valley Head Cross Country Coach Mike Potter provided these summaries recapping the 2021 seasons for the Girls and Boys Varsity teams:
Girls Varsity X-Country
Finished season 6-1 in dual meets.
Cracked top 30 in State Rankings twice.
Girls went on to place third in the OCIAA Championships and fourth in the Section 9 Championships as a team.
They were lead by Freshman Alyssa Dovico who placed seventh at the OCIAA meet and eighth at the Sectional Championship meet.
Boys Varsity X-Country
Finished season 6-1 in dual meets.
Ranked as high as #26 in New York State at one point.
Boys placed second at the OCIAA Championships and fourth at the Section 9 Championships.
Senior Trey Hayden was top boy all year long and was the Wildcats’ lone qualifier for the New York State Championship meet.
