'Wine and Design Paint it Forward' fund raiser set for March 21

Warwick. Proceeds will benefit local food pantries and student weekend meal program.

Warwick Valley Empty Bowls will hold an afternoon “Wine and Design - Paint it Forward” fund raiser event on Saturday, March 21, from 1:45 to 4 p.m.

Each participant will receive a canvas awaiting their masterpiece. The chosen work of art is a lovely, simple and serene field of lavender.

The event is limited to 20 people. Bring your favorite wine/beer and snacks - cups and bottle openers will be supplied.

Warwick Valley Empty Bowls will provide snacks, soda and water.

The cost to paint is $45, with $15 of each ticket price going to support these local causes:

▪ The food pantries in Warwick, Florida and Greenwood Lake.

▪ Backpack Snack Attack - a volunteer outreach program of the Warwick Reformed Church that provides backpacks with food for nearly 300 hungry children in all public schools in the Town of Warwick each weekend when school meals are not available.

This is an adult painting party and recommended for ages 18+ and up. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 12 are not admitted into adult classes.

Also mark your calendar for the 11th annual spring Empty Bowls “Ice Cream Social” fund raiser at Warwick Valley High School on Friday, May 1. This “family fun” event is jointly sponsored by the Warwick Valley Empty Bowls community organization and the Warwick Valley High School Empty Bowls Club.
