The Warwick Friendly Visitor Program (FVP) held a Volunteer Appreciation event at Warwick Town Hall on Saturday, Feb. 13.

During the event volunteers were asked to stay in their car with a mask on and were handed a bag of goodies including the always essential hand sanitizer and face masks which were donated by Jewish Family Services of Orange County and Office For the Aging of Orange County.

Warwick Town Clerk Eileen Astorino and Sherry Zambrzycki from the Orange County Office of Aging also were on hand for the celebration.

The Warwick Friendly Visitor Program is committed to helping neighbors in need. During January, the program received 122 calls for assistance. The program provided a total of 274 services for the month. These services ranged from wellness calls, to doctor’s appointments and grocery shopping.

If you or anyone you know may be interested in becoming a volunteer with the friendly visitor program, virtual training dates will be held on:
