WARWICK — Musical Munchkins, under the direction of Andrea Soberman, has been offering music and movement classes for babies and toddlers along with Young Musician classes for preschoolers throughout the Hudson Valley for the past 24 years.
The school has locations in Goshen, where classes are offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and in Monroe where classes are held on Monday and Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Jan. 4, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Soberman and her associates to celebrate the grand opening of the Warwick studio in the Hudson Valley Dance Center at 63 Wheeler Road.
"The hallmark of our program for the past 24 years," said Soberman, "is our age appropriate classes and live guitar music. Our classes are designed to offer irresistible challenges for each age group in their own class as well as mixed ages for siblings. Our classes are fun and educational and participation is contagious with our instantly singable songs based on our own original Musical Munchkins repertoire, as well nationally acclaimed children's performer Laurie Berkner, and nationally acclaimed music educator, Lynn Kleiner."
The musical Munchkins program encourages individual creativity while also inviting children to participate with their caregiver and peers in group activities.
"We are so pleased," she added, "to be able to offer our award winning program to the Warwick community."
