— Mind Body Babie is designed to provide holistic support in natural parenting and healthy living through local resources, educational workshops, and mother's groups at Too Sweet Kids children's consignment shop, 25 Elm St. in the Mitchel Corners shopping plaza.
On Friday, June 29, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined founder Anna Lopez and Too Sweet Kids owner Espi Ahad to celebrate the grand opening of Mind Body Babie. .
Lopez created Mind Body Babie when she was a full time working mom and found few resources for living and parenting more holistically.
The information she did find was overwhelming and it was hard to figure out where to get started with it.
Doing structural engineering by day and researching healthier living by night, while caring for her newborn, she suddenly had to undergo a rare brain surgery.
The change in life caused Lopez to quit engineering and fully follow her passion for transforming her life to live healthier, parent more naturally and help others do the same.
She now hosts workshops, groups, and provides private instruction to help parents on their own journeys in holistic living.
Childbirth Education classes are offered in three-day series as well as one day three-hour expresses.
The mother's groups are new mom support groups, which offer community and support for mothers to gain confidence in following their instincts in this new role in life, and the mother's healing circles help moms move past negative early experiences.
