— Jean Claude’s Bakery and Dessert Café is proud to announce its twentieth year as Warwick’s premier bakery.
Whether it’s a birthday, a holiday, or a local event, Jean-Claudes is the go-to for special occasion cakes and delectable desserts.
“We knew who to call when planning the 150th anniversary of The Village of Warwick," Mayor Michael Newhard said. "The most magnificent cakes of the sesquicentennial year were created by Jean-Claude.”
Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Claude Sanchez brings more than 35 years of experience to his Hudson Valley customers. Along with his wife and business partner Annette, this culinary master from Bayonne, France, lives out his quintessential skills right here in Warwick. He chooses only crème de la crème ingredients for his signature patisseries, everything is created from scratch onsite and ingredients are sourced locally whenever possible.
'Bake for Good'In keeping with their long-standing commitment to give back to the community, Jean-Claude and Annette are commemorating the momentous occasion with “Bake for Good.” The program teaches children to bake something from scratch. They bake two – one to enjoy and one to share with someone who might not otherwise enjoy a freshly baked treat.
Jean-Claude will host two groups of five children in his kitchen to create a delicious baked good.
The Jean-Claude’s Bake for Good Program is open to students ages 9-14. The baking class students will be selected based on a 100-word essay describing the recipient of their freshly baked goods.
Entry forms are available on Jean-Claude’s website www.jeanclaudesbakery.com.
Deadline for entries is Dec. 15 and classes will be held in January.
In addition, Jean-Claude is holding their traditional holiday raffle with a $100 gift certificate as the prize. All proceeds from the $1 raffle entry go to Warwick’s Ecumenical Food Pantry.
“We have special events planned for Home for the Holidays," Annette Sanchez said. "Stay tuned for more details about a ‘cupping’ event with Greenwood Lake Roasters and our new ‘Red Envelope.'"
