The mission at Hudson Sports Complex, located on the grounds of the former Mid-Orange Correctional, is to provide top-class training and playing facilities.

And striving since January 2019 to provide the most professional service and setting possible, there was one local project in particular that has been awaited with high anticipation. That was the completion of the brand new Hudson Sports Complex (HSC) Dome.

On Thursday evening, Feb. 6, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owners Christian and Raluca Fuchs, their staff and management to celebrate the official grand opening of the Hudson Sports Dome.

Located behind the main field house, the Dome structure covers a turf field that is roughly 32 yards wide by 75 yards long.

'Warm and cozy'

“Perfect for essentially any sport or outing,” said Sales Manager Jessica Beutel, “this brand new bubble is warm and cozy, just like the two existing indoor fields, but at roughly four times the size. Complete with bleachers, netting, and lights, everyone can train and watch events safely and in a professional environment during all hours of the day. The Dome structure is certainly a breath of fresh air as it can host events all-year long for the community.”

The Dome adds roughly 21,000 square feet of covered space to the already existing athletic complex, which is made up of two large outdoor turf fields, two indoor turf fields, event space and locker rooms within the field house.

Essentials

Beutel added that Hudson Sports Complex will have many future plans to improve the complex and visitors are welcome to stop by.
