| 07 Sep 2017 | 01:54

The online course "Climate Change Science, Communication, and Action" will be offered by the Cornell Cooperative Extension from Sept. 11 to Oct. 1.
Participants should plan on an average of three to four hours a week of work during the course. The final project is due Oct. 15.
The course is designed for educators, volunteers, state and local government, land trusts and other non-profits, and anyone else interested in an introduction to climate change science and how to communicate effectively about this important topic.
Course material will be delivered via video lecture and readings. Participants may complete assignments alone or with other students. The course will use the learning management software Canvas for all videos, readings, assignments, and discussions, and a closed Facebook group as an optional discussion platform, where instructors and participants can post resources, pose questions, and “meet” others with similar interests.
Participants will learn about climate change science, communication, and action from experts and apply this knowledge to local climate action projects.
