Graduations

Jonathan M. DePierro, the son of James and Kristen DePierro of Warwick, graduated in May with his PhD in Clinical Psychology from The New School in New York City.
He received the distinguished Irwin Rock Memorial Award for the excellence of his dissertation.
DePierro will be completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the NYU School of Medicine starting in July.
Lance Hegner of Warwick has graduated from the SUNY College of Technology at Alfred with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Digital Media and Animation.

Emily Zarow of Warwick graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire on May 21 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Science.
She was also recognized as University Scholar at the Honors Convocation.
She will be continuing on to Graduate school at UNH in the fall where she will complete her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She was one of 50 applicants accepted into the BS/MSOT program as an incoming freshman in 2013.
Zarow is the daughter of Kevin and Cindy Zarow of Warwick. Her younger sister, Lexie, is a Sophomore at Northeastern University.
Erin Byrne has graduated from Marywood University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Science and Disorders.
She was inducted into the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma, a National Scholastic Honor Society for Catholic Universities.
Byrne has begun her graduate studies at Marywood to continue to pursue a career in speech pathology/audiology.
Ashley Annicaro of Pine Island has graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders.
She also was given an award for being an Outstanding Graduate.
Annicaro will begin her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Ithaca College this fall.
Kevin Sean Roberts has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Design, Policy and Planing at SUNY Stony Brook University.

Suzanne A. Adler has graduated Cum Laude from Boston University with a Juris Doctor in Law.

Darla O’Brien of Warwick received an Associate of Arts Degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, Mass.
O’Brien was one of 94 students to receive an AA degree from the early college on May 21. She attended Warwick Valley High School before leaving to enter college early after 10th grade.
She also was one of 30 students who performed in the college’s annual spring concert, which featured 18 choreographies - including Opus Jazz, Fandango for Castanets, Geppetto and Farruca.

Provost’s list

Julie Balsamo of Warwick was among 162 SUNY Oneonta students who earned Provost’s List honors for the spring 2016 semester.
To qualify, a student must earn a perfect 4.0 grade-point average while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Presidential Scholars

The following students have been named Presidential Scholars for the spring 2016 semester at Clarkson University in Potsdam:
Gerardo Dutan of Warwick, a sophomore majoring in engineering studies.
Andrew J. Meier of Florida, a sophomore majoring in civil engineering.
Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.

Dean’s list

Allyson Yates has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester at the University of Delaware, earning a 4.0 GPA.
She is an elementary education major with a concentration in special education.
Caitlin Loyka of Warwick, a member of the Honors Program at The College of New Jersey, has earned placement on the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester.
To qualify, a candidate must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 in all areas of study for the semester.
Silvana Molinas, a 2015 Warwick Valley High School graduate, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2015 and spring 2016 semesters at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill with an average GPA of 3.8 or bust.
She is in the school’s Honors Program majoring in finance. This summer she will be doing an internship with the Village of Warwick.
Julia F. Birch of Florida has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass. Birch is working toward a degree in neuroscience.
Students are named to the dean’s list for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.
Elizabeth Kenah of Warwick has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester at Connecticut College in New London, achieving High Honors.
A member of the college’s Class of 2018, Kenah’s major is Gender and Women’s Studies.
Robyn Jeffrey of Warwick earned Dean’s List honors for the spring 2016 semester at SUNY Oneonta.
To qualify, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.
Jeffrey was also awarded membership in Alpha Epsilon Delta, a national Health Professional Honor Society.
On June 23, she will head to New Zealand, where she will volunteer with International Student Volunteers in helping to rebuild habitat for New Zealand’s indigenous Yellow-Eyed Penguin.
Jeffrey is a 2013 graduate of Warwick Valley High School.
Jessica Christoffel, 2013 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, finished her junior year at State University Albany with a 4.0 GPA. She is enrolled in the Honors Program and has been on the Dean’s List every semester. She is majoring in public policy with a concentration in urban issue.
She is applying for early admission to the Master’s Program at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.
She also spent a semester in the United Kingdom, where she interned with the Indoamerican Migrant Refugee Organization as well as taking classes.

John E. Phillips of Pine Island, a sophomore majoring in electrical engineering.
Dean’s List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.
Kayla S. Jardine-Vistocco of Warwick was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester at Wagner College on Staten Island.
To qualify, a student must earn a GPA of 3.7 or better for the semester.
Isabella Zaccardi, a sophomore marketing major with a minor in management at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, has been named to the Dean’s list for both the fall 2015 and the spring 2016 semesters.
She is the daughter of Joseph and Melody Zaccardi of Greenwood Lake.
Francis Michael Reilly of Warwick was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester at the University of Rhode Island.
To qualify, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average.
Tyler Z. Murtie, a SUNY Canton Emergency Management major from Pine Island, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester.
Dean’s List recognizes full-time students who earned least a 3.25 on a 4.0 academic scale.
Kristen Bruno of Florida, N.Y., has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester at The College of St. Rose in Albany.
Students must achieve at least a 3.50 GPA to be named to the list.
Bruno is a 2013 graduate of S.S. Seward and has completed her junior year. She is a biology student majoring in a pre-veterinary program. She is the daughter of Paul and Darlene Bruno.
