Christopher Sloan appointed as executive director of The Warwick Historical Society

The Warwick Historical Society (WHS) recently announced the appointment of Christopher Sloan as its new executive director, effective immediately. WHS described him as having a wealth of experience in event planning, production, and performing, with a passion for preserving and promoting local history.

”The Warwick Historical Society is excited to work with Christopher and have him as the leader of the organization. He’s very enthusiastic and dedicated to advancing the Society’s goals,” said Jennifer O’Connor, WHS president.

In his new role, Sloan aims to enhance community engagement, expand educational programs, and create experiences that celebrate Warwick’s heritage. According to the announcement, his vision for the Society includes fostering partnerships with local businesses, schools, and cultural institutions to further elevate its impact within the community.

”I am honored to join The Warwick Historical Society,” said Sloan. “Together with the dedicated team at WHS, I look forward to implementing exciting initiatives that will enrich our community and inspire a greater appreciation for our past.”
