Are you ready to dance the night away and enjoy a wonderful evening of pop, rock and folk music?
The Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce is marking its 80th anniversary with a membership celebration themed “The Valley of Dreams” on Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Diamond Ballroom at Minerals Hotel in Vernon, N.J.
The party begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour serving complimentary beer, wine and appetizers, with dinner to follow at 7 p.m.
“It is a celebration of our community and we encourage everyone to attend," said Warwick Chamber Event Chair Janine Dethmers.
Pianist Dr. David Crone will make a special guest appearance to play music for the cocktail hour. Crone is the director of Hudson Valley’s premier youth choir Jubilate, director of choral studies at Monroe-Woodbury High School and choral director at Christ Church.
He has also held principal posts with the "Boys Choir of Harlem" in New York City and the "Pro Arte Chorale" in New Jersey.
Crone’s passion for performing extends into the jazz community with regular appearances as a jazz pianist.
Following the five-star menu prepared by Executive Chef Brait Barbosa of Chef D Cuisin, the party continues with dancing to the sounds of the The E’lissa Jones Band.
Jones is a prolific songwriter, violinist, pianist and guitarist. Her repertoire embraces audiences with powerful melodies and style ranging from folk to rock.
Throughout her career she has performed and toured with many legends and has recorded and released six albums. Currently, Jones continues to perform her original material in the tri-state area and is working on a new release.
