Ruth Chiappone of Florida, N.Y., entered into rest on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020. She was 86.
The daughter of Benjamin Finkelstein and Grace Masson Finkelstein, she was born on May 6, 1934, in Brooklyn.
She is survived by her five children; one daughter-in-law; one son-in-law; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Chiappone.
Memorial visitation as held Sept. 2 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
A Memorial Mass was held Sept. 3 at St. Stephen’s Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick.
Burial will be in the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen,.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or to Smile Train, PO Box 96231, Washington, D.C. 20090-6231.
