Randolph DeMercado

    Randolph (Randy) DeMercado died suddenly on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, in Fort Myers, Florida.

    He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on July 14, 1941, the son of Clifford and Doris DeMercado.

    Surviving is his wife Glenda to whom he was married on June 29, 1986, and three sisters and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his brother Gillespie DeMercado.

    Randy lived in Warwick with his wife Glenda for 33 years. He fell in love with Warwick Valley and soon found an old horse barn which he converted to a beautiful home.

    Randy was passionate and interested in many hobbies with a special interest in Asian culture. He grew Bonsai, collected beautiful Koi fish for his pond and became an expert on Chinese joinery and was known for his exact reproductions of 16th century Chinese furniture.

    He loved his family and friends and was taken far too soon.
