Henryk Nowicki of Florida, N.Y., entered into rest on Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 85.
The son of the late Boleslaw Nowicki and Stefania Rusiecka, he was born on Jan. 7, 1936, in Poland.
He is survived by his two daughters; Sylwia Nowicka and Marta Barovjan and her husband Rastislav; three granddaughters: Jessica Nicole Majtczak, Juliana Krystyna Barovjan and Katherine Ann Barovjan; brother Jan Nowicki and family; sister–in-law Sabina Kesler; brother-in-law Adam Kesler and family; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many close family and friends both here and in Poland.
He was predeceased by his wife, Krystyna Kesler Nowicka.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 8, from 5 to 9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, at St. Joseph Church, 14 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Due to COVID 19, the funeral home and church are currently following the CDC guidelines regarding the use of masks.
