    Dr. Edward Frank Rossi Jr. of Warwick died Saturday, May 6, 2017, of heart failure. He was 56.
    Dr. Rossi, a dedicated pediatrician known to his patients and colleagues as a caring and compassionate physician, was voted one of the “Best Doctors in America” for the past 10 years.
    He was Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and was a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
    Dr. Ed, as his patients called him, trained at NYU Medical Center and after his training was appointed chief resident. He practiced more than 10 years in Manhattan before opening his practice in Warwick where he was a resident for more than 15 years.
    He is survived by his partner of 29 years, Robert Coleman, and his beloved dogs, Jordy and Max.
    Visitation was held May 10 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
    Private cremation.
