Brynn Anne Melder

Brynn Anne Melder of Middletown (formerly of Warwick) passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. She was 40 years old.

Born in Warwick on July 11, 1980, she was the daughter of Joseph G. Melder and Leanne Burger.

She attended Warwick schools and graduated from Warwick Valley High School.

Brynn worked as an E-Commerce online shopper for Walmart in Middletown.

She previously worked as a Home Health Aide, particularly with clients with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Her care and devotion to her clients went beyond her duties and was greatly appreciated by her client’s families.

Brynn worked many years in the service and restaurant industry where her vivacious personality and great attention to detail was highlighted and appreciated by her patrons and colleagues.

Brynn thrived when amongst family, adding silliness and laughter to any gathering. Nowhere did her heart shine more than with her daughter, Joely. They spent time together shopping, cooking, crafting and last but not least creating silly song and dance videos.

She was so proud of the young lady Joely is becoming.

Brynn is survived by her daughter Joely Urena; father Joseph G. Melder and his wife Fran of Warwick; mother Leanne Burger of Connecticut; sister Meredith Magi and her husband Steven; brothers Gavin Mestel and his wife Ashlee, and Drew Mestel; stepsisters Samantha Romig and her husband Dave and Caitlin Reilly and stepbrother Steven Laroe and his wife Jessica; nieces and nephews: Timothy and Samuel Magi, Cameron Mestel, Emily, Callie, and Leah Romig, and Mila Laroe; several aunts and uncles, as well as many cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Joseph and Ann Melder, John and Joyce Burger, and uncle John T. Burger.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 23 at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick.

Interment was in Warwick Cemetery following the mass.
