Barbara Louise Briski Carmel Wieser of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at Ozark Health Nursing Center in Clinton, Arkansas, with her daughter Sue Parks and granddaughter Mary Parks Medlock at her side. She was 88 years old.

Barbara was born on Jan. 29, 1933, in Goshen to Eleanor Volock and Michael Briski.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Sonny Briski and Michael Briski of New York. Also preceding her in death were her former spouses: Joseph Carmel Sr. of Mississippi and Walter Wieser of Nevada.

Barbara graduated from Goshen High School.

During Barbara’s working career she wore many hats. Beginning her career in the food service industry as a cashier, a bartender, and at the Sahara-Tahoe Casino in Lake Tahoe, she was a sous chef. Barbara was a waitress in various cities throughout the United States.

Before retiring in 1998 at which time she moved to Arkansas from New Jersey, Barbara worked for RMS Technologies at FFA Tech Center in Atlantic City, N.J. for many years. She was a senior administrative assistant to the program manager.

Left to cherish Barbara’s memory are her sister Grace Briski Mills of Nevada, her daughter and caregiver Sue Parks of Arkansas; daughters Karen Carmel Bardsley of Nevada and Julie Mills of Missouri; sons Joseph Carmel and Todd Carmel of Mississippi and Mark Carmel of Texas. Seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Niece Cyndi Mills and nephew Robbie Mills and others.

Barbara lived a full life and fought for every second of life that God allowed her. We will miss you.

A come and go celebration of life visitation was held Sept. 10 at the Clinton Funeral Service in Clinton, Arkansas.
