Alfons Weber of Warwick, a retired butcher, formerly of Ridgewood, Queens, entered into rest on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021. He was 88.
The son of Pauline Weber and Edward Kraker, he was born on Dec. 7, 1932, in Gottenitz, Yugoslavia.
He is survived by his wife Erna Windischmann Weber; son Gerhard Weber (Ingrid); daughter, Kathleen Piazza (Emanuel); five grandsons: Christopher Weber; Stephen Weber (Pamela); Nicholas, Bryan and Michael Piazza; and two great grandchildren: Everly and Hunter Weber.
Visitation was held Sept. 3 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921.
A Funeral Mass was held Sept. 4 at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the T.S. Purta Funeral Home.
