Anna R. Gayewski of Hamburg, N.J., and formerly of Pine Island, entered into rest on Sunday, April 28, 2013, in Andover Subacute & Rehabilitation Center in Andover, NJ. She was 92.
The daughter of Samuel Kosminsky and Agnes Ostroski Kosminsky, she was born March 7, 1921 in Franklin, N.J.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Pine Island.
She resided in the Franklin area most of her life, with the exception of 25 years with her late husband Barney Gayewski of Pine Island. Mrs. Gayewski worked for Ames Rubber Corp. for 27 years retiring in 1985.
She is survived by two daughters; Harriet Ratynski and her husband Fred of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Mary Ann Thomas and her husband Alex of McAfee, N.J.; daughter-in-law, Karen Bennett of Franklin, N.J.; seven grandchildren: Bridget and Bryan Gurda, Fred and Bonnie Ratynski; Kevin and Debbie Ratynski, Scott and Melissa Thomas, Jen and Mike Takama, Carrie and Harry Takama and Christine and RJ Byma; 13 great grandchildren: Nichole Felker, Scott Thomas Jr., Leigha Thomas, Russell Thomas, Morgan Ratynski, Julia Ratynski, Samantha and Jana Takama, Colton and Ava Takama, Richard, Luke and Dean Byma; a great great granddaughter, Gabriella Presky; sister Agnes Dinges and her husband Bill of Lafayette, N.J.; sisters-in-law Angie Kosminsky and Ila Kosminsky of Franklin, N.J., Viola Hojnacki of Warwick and Virginia Bastek of Westtown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Barney Gayewski and two sons, Harry and Russell Bennett; six brothers: Michael, Pete, John, Anthony and Harry Kosminsky and Samuel Muchion; and two sisters Mary Cavalleri and Helen Himmelstein.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
