Warwick Reformed Church welcomes new pastor

The Rev. Stacey Duensing is the new pastor at the Warwick Reformed Church.

Duensing follows the Rev. Michael Otte, who retired. The Warwick Reformed Church has 149 members.

Duensing grew up on a farm in Deshler, Nebraska, but has gradually been moving east ever since. She attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Education and Youth Ministry.

Later, she attended Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan, where she received a Master of Divinity.

Duensing previously served in ministry at Fellowship Reformed Church in Holland, Michigan, Church on the Hill in Flushing and in various non-profits throughout the country.

Most recently, she served as the Pastoral Resident of Discipleship in the Lynnwood Reformed Church in upstate Guilderland.

Duensing is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Reformed Church in America.

She describes her passion and goal as a minister as spreading God's unconditional love in word and deed. In her personal time, she loves spending time getting to know people, kayaking, hiking and exploring new things.

She is excited to be in Warwick and is looking forward to getting to know the community.

Duensing is engaged to be married to Zachary Pearce of Matamoras, Pa. He is a Master of Divinity candidate at Princeton Theological Seminary and student pastor at Ellenville Reformed Church.
