The Warwick Valley Quilters’ Guild is planning its bi-annual Stars of the Valley Quilt Show, to be held on Oct. 24 and 25, at the Sanfordville Elementary School in Warwick.

The show will be attracting local quilters and more from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

The show will include more than 150 quilts and wall hangings. There also will be guest speakers Timna Tarr and Lisa Shepard Stewart, well-known in the quilting community who will be presenting a variety of topics each day.

Meanwhile, vendors will offer machines, furniture, fabrics and sewing accessories. There also will be raffle prizes.

The guild also is involved in many community service projects, including “Quilts of Valor,” “Project Linus” and more.

The guild also provides an annual scholarship to a graduating senior planning to continue his/her education in a fiber art or fine art field.
