    St. Stephen’s September tag sale dates

    St. Stephen’s Church will be holding a tag sale on the following dates: Thursday, Sept. 2, 3 -7 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 3, 3-7 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 4, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 10, 2-7 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 11, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m..

    On Sunday, Sept. 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., all items will be 50 percent off.

    The sale will take place in the gymnasium at the former St. Stephen-St. Edward School, located on West Street Extension, across from the Warwick Valley Middle School.

    Items may be dropped off for future tag sales on Tuesdays, Sept. 14 and Sept. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the gym doors.

    The following items will be accepted as donations: furniture, books, CDs, DVDs, instruments, lighting, lawn and garden, pet supplies, sporting goods, home decor, housewares, small kitchen appliances, plates, dishes, glassware, baby equipment, crafts, seasonal, jewelry, collectibles, suitcases, area rugs and toys.

    St. Stephen’s cannot accept the following items: TVs, computers, exercise bikes, ellipticals, treadmills, cribs, mattresses, car seats, VHS tapes, clothing (please put clothing in the blue bins off St. Stephen’s Place), or anything that is stained, ripped or broken.

    P-Buns drawing workshop

    Susan Hope Fogels, who was scheduled to offer her P-Buns Drawing Workshop just as COVID shut things down, is now offering the class once again.

    The workshop – free for members of The Warwick Art League and open to non-members for $10 – will take place Friday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Senior Center behind Town Hall on Kings Highway, Warwick.

    This will be a hands-on workshop. Participants are asked to arrive with a sketchbook, pencils and an eraser.

    Registration is required and attendance is limited to the first 32 people to sign up in order to provide social distancing workspace. Masks are required unless vaccinated. To register, call 845-987-8748 or email Sarah McHugh at mchughstudio@yahoo.com.

    “A Portrait of...” Community Art Show

    Calling all Orange County artists. The Albert Wisner Public Library’s autumn Community Art Show is right around the corner, with the focus on portraits.

    Paintings, photographs, drawings, sculpture or other mediums will be accepted for the show. Participants must register to display work in the show, which will be on display at the library, One McFarland Drive, Warwick, from Oct. 15 through Dec. 31.
