On Wednesday night, surrounded by 300 family, friends, constituents and

colleagues, Senator Jen Metzger (SD-42) took the oath of office, administered by the Supreme Court Justice Sandra B. Sciortino. The full hour program included Middletown Mayor Joe DeStefano serving as Master of Ceremonies, invocations from Pastor Rolfi Elivo and Rabbi Marcus Rubenstein, the swearing in of Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther, musical performances by BLOOM and singer-songwriter Kelleigh McKenzie, and a congratulatory speech from Senate Majority Leader, Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
