MatchPoint Tennis U14 team finishes 5th in nation

GOSHEN — The MatchPoint Tennis Under 14 Team finished fifth in the nation in USTA Junior Team Tennis.
There were 2,596 teams that competed in the 14-and-under division, with teams needing to win their regional then sectional events to qualify for the 16 team field national tournament.
Team MatchPoint won its regional event in Westchester, and won its sectional event in Schenectady, N.Y., to qualify for the national tournament.
The USTA Junior Team Tennis national meet took Place in Orlando, Fla., at the USTA National Campus. Team MatchPoint defeated teams from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Phoenix, Arizona,; Honolulu, Hawaii; and San Francisco, California.
The team includes Aidan Staunton of Goshen, Max Berina of Monroe, Braeden Gelletich of Goshen, Norah Staunton of Goshen, Maeve Cassidy of Monroe, and Samantha Killin of Warwick, with Coach Ari Roberts.
