As part of the 150th anniversary, or sesquicentennial, of the incorporation of the Village of Warwick, a 19th-century-style mustache and beard contest took place Friday, Aug. 4, followed by the music of the New York Swing Exchange big band.

The events were held at Railroad Green. and the guests of honor were the mayor of Warwick, England, Stephen Cross, and his wife, Christine.

During the free concert, 400 sugar cookies featuring the Sesquicentennial logo were distributed to all who attended.
