WARWICK — Kim Olsen Scotto’s Art & Soul Jr. Entrepreneur program, now being offered at Park Avenue and Sanfordville Elementary School’s in Warwick, raised money this weekend selling their art and crafts to the public.

Proceeds from their sales were donated to Warwick Playground Dreams and to a well-deserved ice cream party celebration.

Grades 2-5 can now be a part of creative art classes. From start to finish children work together as a team, from designing business cards and building up their art inventory, to creating and selling their completed crafts to the public.

In this program children learn confidence building skills through sales, life skills through money exchange and most important compassion by giving back to their community.

Warwick Playground Dreams is a non-profit made up of volunteers from across the Town of Warwick whose mission is to bring a new playground to Warwick.

Working with the Village of Warwick, their goal is to raise the funds and organize the volunteers for a community-designed and community-built ADA-accessible playground that will stretch the imaginations of all of Warwick’s children while they get the exercise they need to be happy and healthy.

“What better way to give, than by using self expression for a greater cause” said Scotto, owner of Art-n-Soul.

Summer camp

Art-n-Soul’s will be running three camps this summer at the Warwick Community Center as well as teaching enrichment Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays to preschoolers as an extended day offering at Small Fry’s Preschool beginning in September.

Registration is now open.
