    — The Junction, located at 16 Railroad Ave. in the Village of Warwick is celebrating an important milestone: its fifth year in business.
Owner Annette DiZenzo is also proud to announce the expansion of the store's ladies footwear department with the introduction of "The Shoe Stop."
On Tuesday, March 26, Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined DiZenzo and members of her staff for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the occasion.
Many people know The Junction as the peanut shop, thanks to the fact that the store features 40 flavors of nuts from The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg, Virginia, and nut butters from The Cape May Peanut Butter Company.
But The Junction has always been much more.
The store, for example, has a wide assortment of ponchos, wraps, tunics, handbags, fashion backpacks, accessories and gifts. And it also offers a line of local handmade jewelry and accessories.
"The Shoe Stop" focuses on the latest fashion trends along with sneakers, comfort casuals, sandals, shooties, booties and boots and dress shoes for proms and weddings. Brands include Blowfish, Impanema, Soda and many more.
"Join us for our very first Ladies Night on Friday, April 26, " said DiZenzo. "It's from five to ten p.m. for a night of shopping, in store specials and drawings including gift certificates from Grappa, The Vreeland Store, Blarney Station, and Conscious Habitat. Bring a friend or two. Light refreshments will be served. "
