WARWICK — A new box culvert at the intersection of Brady and Cascade roads recently replaced the culvert that washed out during Hurricane Sandy.
And to celebrate Arbor Day, the Town of Warwick Tree Commission decided it would be appropriate to plant three White Spruce, three White Pine and three Red Maple trees adjacent to the culvert.
A donation from the organization Trout Unlimited was also received for the planting of 100 Bare Root shrubs to shade the trout stream on the same site.
The Town of Warwick has been named a Tree City USA for the second consecutive year.
