Capacity Coverage celebrates first anniversary in Warwick

WARWICK — One year ago Warwick resident Dan Thompson, who has 25 years experience working for Capacity Coverage of New Jersey, one of the nation's largest privately held insurance brokerages, opened a satellite office as a managing partner at 11 Oakland Ave. in Warwick.

On Thursday, Oct. 15, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Thompson and members of his family, to celebrate the first year anniversary of Capacity Coverage of Warwick with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

"Having a large parent company," said Thompson, "allows us to have many insurance markets for commercial and personal insurance clients. We are proud to represent these great A-rated insurance carriers directly."

One company, for example, that Thompson felt was particularly exciting is Acadia Insurance Company.

"This carrier," he said, "allows us to aggressively pursue any type of agriculture business commonly seen in Orange County.

"Apple Orchards, wineries, horse farms, produce operations and lumber related companies are just some of the types of clients within their appetite," he added. "Our multitude of other insurance carriers enable us to competitively write contractors of any kind, main street type business, commercial properties, microbreweries and restaurants."

Thompson added that Capacity Coverage also has a wide range of products for personal lines markets and that Homeowners, personal auto and umbrellas can all be packaged for significant savings.

His staff includes office manager Camille Caraballo, who helps orchestrate personal lines marketing, and life insurance expert Nicholas Crantz, whose expertise covers the many ways to utilize life policies to address retirement planning, income continuation, and college funding.

Thompson has lived in Warwick for 20 years with his wife, Melissa, and their three boys, Cooper, 17, Jesse, 14, and Xavier, 10.
