The following is a summary of activities by the Warwick Fire Department provided by Michael Contaxis, 1st Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Prevention chairman:

The Warwick Fire Department has responded to 163 calls for service to date. This past week the WFD responded to multiple calls for service including automatic fire alarms, brush fires, carbon monoxide alarms, Appalachian Trail rescues, motor vehicle accidents and landing zone requests.

The WFD would like to continue to remind all drivers to continue to use caution while driving and adhere to the posted speed limits.

The WFD would also like to remind all motorist to yield to first responders in emergencies, Blue and Green Lights are courtesy lights for our responders to safely respond to the firehouse or ambulance bay to help someone in need. When you see a blue or green light behind you, safely pull to the shoulder of the road to let first responders pass.
