A four-month investigation into the sale of cocaine in the Town of Warwick concluded Friday, Dec. 11, with the arrest of Todd Smith, 54, of Warwick.
In a press release issued Dec. 14, Lt. John D. Rader wrote that the Warwick Police Street Crimes and Narcotics unit, along with the Orange County Drug Task Force, conducted the investigation.
Smith was arrested by Warwick Police with the assistance of the Tactical Response Unit on Friday morning, Dec. 11, as a search warrant was executed on his residence.
Police said more than more than two ounces of cocaine was recovered.
Smith was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both Class B felonies.
Smith was arraigned and sent to the Orange County Jail without bail.
