Warwick. Fire Department has responded to 251 calls for service since the beginning of the year

The following is a summary of activities of the Warwick Fire Department in the last week, provided by Michael Contaxis, 1st Assistant Chief Warwick Fire Department and its Fire Prevention chairman.

• The Warwick Fire Department has responded to 251 calls for service to date.

• The Warwick Fire Department needs firefighters. Call 845-986-3473 or contacting the department social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram or by emailing us at wfd634c@yahoo.com. You can also stop by any of our firehouses any evening to speak with a fire officer.

• Warwick Fire Prevention Team Report: Follow sparkysschoolhouse.org for fun interactive ways to learn about Fire Safety.

• Remember to not leave your pets in a vehicle during the summer especially with no open window, in direct sunlight and with no cool water. It could result in the death of the pet.

• This past Monday evening all companies completed apparatus and buildings checks to ensure that the WFD fleet is operational.

• This past Monday evening The Goodwill Hook & Ladder Company #1, Raymond Hose Company #2 and Engine Company #3 completed operations drills.

• This past Saturday the Goodwill Hook & Ladder Company #1 “Hooks” completed a FAST Team Drill at the Orange County Fire Training Center to assist during the Interior Fire Operations School Class.
