The Warwick Friendly Visitor program was brought to Warwick five years ago with the help and persistence of Vince Copello.

He knew the help was needed for Warwick’s senior residents. Copello was active from the beginning, coordinating the efforts with Jewish Family Services and Office for the Aging, handing out fliers at ShopRite, and helping recruit volunteers and help signing them up for training.

He pledged to help grow the Friendly Visitor Program to the robust program it is today.

Copello sat as the Board Chairman from the beginning but unfortunately, he stepped down at the end of last month. The program will continue to grow and help the seniors keep their sense of independence.

The month of July the Warwick Friendly Visitor Program received 168 phone calls from the neighbors enrolled in the program. They made 125 appointments and provided 212 services.
