Everyone is invited to join the Warwick Historical Society (WHS) on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. for an evening of storytelling and camaraderie at the Veterans Day Remembrances Event at the A.W. Buckbee Center, 2 Colonial Ave., Warwick.

Sharing personal remembrances and first-hand accounts of life in the service, the program will feature WHS Board member and former Naval officer and Vietnam veteran Tom Brennan; Donald Grenier, a Navy pilot who flew missions in support of the Inchon invasion in Korea; Everest Lemay, a Marine who served at the Chosin Reservoir battle; and Ralph Leonard, an Air Force SR-71 Blackbird technician and Vietnam veteran.

The conversation will also include Pastor Eun Sung Han from the New Milford and Edenville United Methodist Church, who will share his personal experience of growing up in Korea.

Don, Everest and Ralph are members of the Warwick Veterans of Foreign War Post 4662 and Tom is a member of Warwick’s American Legion Post 214. These important community organizations are dedicated to helping veterans and their families secure services, providing a connection and advocating for and recognizing the sacrifices of the men and women who served in the military.
