On Saturday evening, Sept. 14, approximately 200 guests gathered both outside and inside under a huge tent to enjoy a festive and well-organized event with a Hawaiian theme.

The second annual End of Summer event Lu'au featured professional hula dancers, a pig roast and buffet dinner, beer and wine, a Hawaiian signature drink, festive decorations, music and dancing.

The Lu'au took place at the picturesque lakeside section of Wickham Woodlands Park in the former Mid-Orange Correctional facility.

Although there were rain showers from time to time, guests were able to stay dry under the tent and spend more time socializing and dancing to the music of the popular Cloudnyne band.

And when the skies cleared they were able to go back outside to toast marshmallows for traditional campfire smores.

Once again BBQ Specialists of the Hudson Valley received numerous kudos for catering the event featuring the presentation of roasted and decorated pigs.

Warwick Rotarians are known for hosting successful community fund raisers to benefit local charities.

This second annual End of Summer Party was now designed as an ongoing annual event that would also serve as a fund raiser.

Proceeds, after expenses, were over $6,000 and will go to help support those worthy non-profit organizations.
