Warwick Democratic Committee makes donation to Ecumenical Food Pantry

Glenn P. Dickes, director of the Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry and other volunteers of the food pantry accept a donation to the food pantry from the Warwick Town Democratic Committee's treasurer, Patricia McMillan.

The Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry is a community outreach ministry of the Warwick United Methodist Church.The pantry is located at 135 Forester Ave, at the corner of Route 17A and Galloway Road. The pantry has been in operation for more than 30 years.

The pantry serves, on average, approximately 200 families each month, representing a total of nearly 650 people per month.

In a typical year, the pantry provides approximately 8,000 units of service, as defined by the N.Y.S. Department of Health Office of Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance.

The pantry is open Monday and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The only criterion required for an individual or family to receive assistance is demonstration of residence within the Town of Warwick, coupled with self-assessment of need.
