Fifty-eight seniors graduated from S. S. Seward Institute on Saturday morning, June 26, as family and friends cheered them on.

Principal Michael Rheaume was enthusiastically complimentary to this class, calling its members the brightest and tightest-knit group in his 16 years at Seward.

A day for many comings and goings

This was a milestone for Rheaume as well – it was his final day as principal of Seward. With Rheaume’s retirement, Assistant Principal Susan Moore takes over.

Also present for her final Seward graduation was Superintendent Jan Jehring. She, too, is retiring this summer after five years with the district. The Florida Board of Education recently named Larry J. Leaven as its new superintendent.

Bradley Vogt and Josely Medina, the Seward Class of 2021 valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, addressed their classmates, family members and friends, talking about what they have come through as a group this year and what they have to look forward to.

Congratulations to one and all members of the Seward Class of 2021.
