Intrepid Strength & Conditioning CrossFit Warwick just celebrated its 10th anniversary in a new home.

On Friday, Jan. 10, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owner Ryan Hansen, his staff, clients and other supporters to celebrate the anniversary and new location with a ribbon cutting.

The new home of Intrepid Strength & Conditioning Crossfit-Warwick, formerly located in the Mechanical Rubber Building on Forester Ave., is now at 28 Church St., Suite 3, also just off Forester Avenue, in the former Georgia Pacific building. The entrance is in the right rear.

“We are the same custom workout location, designed for every level of fitness for every age,” said Hansen. “Our new location is airier with plenty of parking.”

He recently originated a Silver Class for more senior fitness enthusiasts who want to get in shape or improve the shape they’re in. Participants range in age from 60s to 80s.

“Ryan’s creativity has helped me reduce one pants’ size,” quipped Silver Class participant Chris Olert. “The class has helped me change my bad habits to good ones and revived my fitness level to that of a 20-something.”

Silver classes are offered Monday and Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Hansen has also launched a Strong fitness program for new moms and their stroller users on Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m.

And Intrepid Strength & Conditioning Crossfit-Warwick has special offers for police officers, firefighters and first responders.
