Wayne Lyon of Warwick was welcomed into God’s arms on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021.

Wayne is survived by his mother Esther, wife Linda; siblings Sharon, David, Bob and Danny; children Dwaine, Tina, Elizabeth, Gary and Victoria; and grandchildren Patrick, Sophia, John, Cecilia, Victoria and Nathaniel.

Special remembrance to those who predeceased Wayne including his father Everett and stepfather Jess.

His family’s statement reads: “Individuals that knew or came in contact with Wayne would never forget him. He had a presence, a sincere curiosity and caring nature for all he came in contact with. He wanted to know about you and your joyous life moments and he would push and help you in any obstacle you were experiencing. Wayne had a joyful character and he exemplified humanities’ shining points. We love you, and may God’s grace be upon you as you enter into the Lord’s Kingdom.”

The viewing and funeral will be held at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by a procession to Wayne’s final resting place in Warwick Cemetery.
