Stanley “Birdie” Sondey, 91, of New Hampton, NY, a retired carpenter, entered into rest on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at home.
The son of the late Martin and Catherine Iskra Sondey, he was born on November 19, 1930, in Wallington, NJ.
He was a US Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Carol Grippe Sondey; son, Joseph Sondey; stepson, John Wiegand (Kim); stepdaughter, Darlene Beck (Marty); four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Sondey; sisters, Sophie Bialas and Stella Surdyka; grandson, Justin Scott; and beloved side-kick, his dog, Champ.
As per his wishes, there will be no services and cremation will be held privately.
