    Robert W. Miller, a former longtime resident of Warwick, N.Y., passed away peacefully in Stuart, Florida, on May 23, 2019 surrounded by his family.
    Robert (Bob) was born to William and Grace Miller in Paterson, N.J. He moved to Warwick his junior year in high school and graduated from Warwick Valley High School in 1949.
    After graduation, Bob joined the United States Army and served during the Korean conflict.
    After leaving the Army, Bob moved to California with his wife, Jane. After the birth of their second child, the family moved back to Warwick and Bob worked for Orange & Rockland Utilities, Inc., for 38 years.
    He retired in 1996 and, upon retirement, Bob and Jane spent a lot of time traveling, playing golf and tennis and splitting their time between the mountains of North Carolina and the beaches of Florida.
    Bob was a member of the Raymond Hose Fire Company and the Warwick Athletic Association.
    He was also a member of the Warwick United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Warwick Valley Country Club.
    Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jane Smith Miller, of Stuart, Fla.; his sister, Marilyn Rosell, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; his son, Robert, of Las Vegas, Nevada; his son, Bruce, of Middletown, N.Y.; and his daughter, Cynthia Rourke, of Vernon, N.J. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Brian, Christopher, Amanda, Justin, Sarah, Katelyn and Ethan.
    A private funeral service was held in Stuart, Florida, and Bob’s ashes were interred at Fernhill Memorial Gardens.
