Robert E. Martin of Harriman passed away on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility in Liberty. He was 90 years old.

The son of Bernard and Anne Murray Martin, he was born on Sept. 30, 1930, in Brooklyn.

Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952 during the Korean War.

After his Honorable Discharge he became a superintendent for the International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local 1 in New York City.

Robert was a member of the American Legion Mulligan-Eden Post #1573 in Harriman as well a member of St. Anastasia Church in Harriman. He also attended Calvary Chapel Grace Fellowship Church in Tuxedo.

Survivors include his loving wife Mary Burrall Martin at home; his children: Daniel Martin and his wife Valerie of Staten Island, Robert Martin of Spring Valley, Laura Martin of New Windsor, Gary Martin of Monroe, Thomas Martin and his wife Jennifer, of Chester, James Farrell and his wife Cindy of Albany, Daniel Farrell of Ocala, Fla., and Patricia Niemann and her husband Mike of Monroe; his brother James Martin of Greenwood Lake; his grandchildren: Bridget, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Gregory, Matthew and his wife Liz, Janine, Courtney, Patrick, Lindsey, Lexy, Patricia, Joanie, DJ and his wife Alex, Jake and Brian; and by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters Ann Blanchet and Jane Chaplin and his grandson Daniel.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
