Kathleen Patricia Bachorik of Highland Mills passed away on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at Delaware Valley Nursing Center in Matamoras, Pa. She was 82 years old.
The daughter of Patrick and Marie Cunningham Rooney, she was born on March 4, 1939, in Donaghmoyne, Ireland.
Kathleen was a salesperson for Waterford Crystal in Central Valley and was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Highland Mills and Sacred Heart Church in Monroe.
Survivors include her children: Stephen Bachorik (Patricia Tully) of Warwick, Patricia Montalbano (John) of Hewitt, N.J., and Theresa Carey (Bernie) of Middletown; siblings: Thomas Rooney of Palm Coast, Fla., Patrick Rooney of New City, Noel Rooney of Ireland, Tony Rooney of Ireland, Brendan Rooney of Ireland, Ann Flannery of Bethpage, Phyllis Boyle of Ireland, Margaret Lennon of Ireland and Sr. Mary Christina Rooney of France; beloved grandchildren: Violet, Holly, Daniella, Joseph, Thomas and Katelin; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Edward Bachorik and her brothers Liam and Bernard Rooney.
Visitation was held Nov. 23 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A Funeral Mass was celebrate Nov. 24 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe.
Interment followed at Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.
