Joseph P. Cromwell

    Joseph P. Cromwell passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, at his residence in Monroe. He was 59 years old.

    The son of Joseph H. and Nadalin Medich Cromwell, he was born on June 23, 1961, in Hoboken, N.J.

    Joseph proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines Corps from 1980 to 1981. After his Honorable Discharge he became a Police Officer for N.Y.P.D, Bronx Task Force, in the Bronx.

    Joe was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Monroe; American Legion Post #488 in Monroe; and a member of the New York State Fraternal Order of Police of Orange County.

    Survivors include his loving Wife Nancy Davis Cromwell; his children: Joseph D. Cromwell, Christopher R. Cromwell and Nadalin N. Cromwell, all of Monroe; his sisters: Marian Stupin of Greenwood Lake and Mary Pane of Friedensburg, Pa.; and by several nieces and nephews.

    Joseph was predecesed by his two other sisters: Loretta Hitt and Diana Cromwell.

    Visitation was held Sept. 24 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.

    A Funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 25 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe.

    Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
