Charles J. Emanuel of Florida, N.Y., formerly of Demarest, N.J., entered into rest on Saturday, May 8, 2021. He was 83.
The son of the late Benjamin and Rose Rubiano Emanuel, he was born on Jan. 4, 1938 in Hackensack, N.J.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his son Charles B. Emanuel and his wife Lori of Florida, N.Y.; son Nicholas Emanuel and his wife Rosi of Demarest, N..J; daughter Janine Blandino and husband Dominick of Sugar Loaf; seven grandchildren: Valentina, Antonia and Nicole Emanuel; Dominick Jr., Benjamin, Nicholas and Peter Blandino.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years Jeannette Paccione Emanuel; brother Carmelo Emanuel and sister Fortunata Massa.
Visitation was held May 11 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, N.Y.
A Funeral Mass was held May 12 at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida, N.Y.
A cremation will be held privately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
