West Point Band presents 'Top Brass'

West Point. Hear written by some of music history’s greatest composers, J.S. Bach, Johannes Brahms, and Gustav Holst.

The West Point Band opens its 2020 Masterworks Concert Series with members of the Concert Band Brass and Percussion in a performance titled “Top Brass!” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, in West Point.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to Sunday, Jan. 19, at 3 p.m.

This performance will take place in the Cadet Chapel and is free and open to all. For more information and to RSVP to the event, visit westpointband.com.

The West Point Band kicks off its Masterworks Concert Series with a program featuring the Concert Band Brass and Percussion under the baton of guest conductor Robert Ponto from the University of Oregon.

Set in the Cadet Chapel, you will be transported to another time by the rich harmonies and soaring melodies written by some of music history’s greatest composers: J.S. Bach, Johannes Brahms, and Gustav Holst.

This concert is for all ages, with music by Elton John and selections from the Harry Potter movies.
