'Star Spangled Moonlight Bowling Fundraiser' to support museum repairs

Chester. In honor of Veterans Day, every veteran will get a free raffle ticket to win a special basket made especially for them.

The "Star Spangled Moonlight Bowling Fundraiser" to raise money for the Chester Historical Society will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Colonial Lanes, 78 Brookside Avenue in Chester.

Registration starts at 6 p.m., with the bowling to get underway at 7 p.m. You can also register by calling Annie at 845-629-3694.

The cost is $20, which includes two hours of bowling, shoes, pizza and soda. There will be music, a 50/50 raffle and a basket raffle, plus a special basket raffle for veterans. In honor of Veterans Day, every veteran will get a free ticket to win a basket made especially for them.

There will also be a bake sale.

All proceeds will be used to help the historical society repair the roof and gutters of its museum, the 1915 Erie Depot.

So bring the whole family out for an evening of bowling, pizza, and fun.
