Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Viva Vallenato

The Albert Wisner Public Library will present an outdoor concert featuring Viva Vallenato on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m., in recognition of Hispanic Heritage month (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15).

The Viva Vallenato Cumbia Band will perform the electrifying folk music of Colombia. The rhythms will make you dance and the accordion and sing with your soul. These happy songs contain the cultural memory of a people with roots in Africa, Native America and Europe.

Learn the stories behind this unique music. Suitable for all ages.

This is an outdoor performance, weather permitting. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Outdoors, we can accommodate all who wish to attend.

In the case of inclement weather, the performance will be in the Community Room.
