Brick House Thanksgiving Tours to begin Nov. 16

| 29 Oct 2019 | 12:48

Montgomery. The Friends of Hill Hold and Brick House Museums will offer their annual Brick House Thanksgiving Tours from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the homestead located at 850 Route 17K in Montgomery. The original carriage road leads visitors to the elegant Georgian-style house built in 1768 by Nathaniel Hill. The house and its adjoining farmland were passed down from father to son for 200 years and reflects seven generations of furnishings, from Chippendale to Victorian. The rooms will be decorated with autumnal arrangements, and the dining room will be set for a sumptuous Thanksgiving dinner. Cider and cookies will be served in the original downstairs kitchen. Admission is $2 per child and $3 per adult. For more information, call Orange County Parks at 845-615-3830 or visit hillholdandbrickhouse.org.
