    — Warwick Valley High School celebrated the seniors on the Varsity Boys Basketball Team on Feb. 19:
Jonah BevacquaJonah Bevacqua is a captain and two-year varsity starter. Jonah is having an outstanding season, averaging more than 12 points and nine rebounds per game.
Having a center that can step outside and shoot threes has made it very difficult for teams to defend. Jonah’s offensive versatility has played a large part in the team’s success.
Jonah is unselfish and always looking to set his teammates up. Next year Jonah will be looking to study communications. The schools that he is interested in include: Hunter College, Kean University, and Farmingdale State College.
He was accompanied by his parents Sharon and Dave Bevacqua.
Zac GoldsteinZac Goldstein is a three-year varsity starter and captain who entered Tuesday night's contest 12 points shy of 1,000 for his career.
Zac’s season averages of 20 points and 10 rebounds per game rank among the best in the section. Zac has scored more than 20 points in ten of the games this season, including 36 points against Chester and 32 points against Port Jervis.
He has continued to improve each year and has added elements to his game that will make him a terrific collegiate player.
Zac has many schools interested in him and is currently undecided on where he will attend. He will look to study business management next fall.
He was joined at center court by his parents Pam and Mitch Goldstein.
Josiah JosephJosiah Joseph is the starting point guard and captain who has played on varsity for three years.
Josiah has been a key piece to the team's success, averaging 12 points, five rebounds and five assists per game, while shooting 83 percent from the free throw line.
His full court pressure bothers his opponents and his quick first step makes it almost impossible to stay in front of him on defense.
Josiah was voted the MVP of the Mustang Classic Holiday Tournament in which he helped lead Warwick to the championship. Next year Josiah wants to attend Iona College or SUNY Purchase.
He was join by his parents Keisha and Byron Joseph.
Harsev SinghHarsev Singh is a two-year varsity player and has been an important role player for the team this year. He has started four games and has been a leader in our locker room all season.
"H" is willing to do anything for the program and his work ethic and positive attitude will be missed next year.
Harsev is a role model in school as well and maintains an average of more than 100.
Next year he will look to study pre-med at one of the following schools: Cornell, UVA, Boston College, Villanova, Colgate, UConn, Binghamton or Fordham.
He was joined by his parents Sandy and Dr. Sandeep Singh as well as his sister Gursimar and brother Tegh.
Jaquil TuckerJaquil Tucker has been a three-year varsity player for the Warwick program.
After suffering an injury that cost him 14 games last year, Jaquil has been a centerpiece for the team this season.
He is the best defender on the team and one of the top defender’s in the section.
Jaquil is asked to guard the opponent’s best player and has done a terrific job accepting the challenge.
Next year Jaquil hopes to continue playing basketball at Dutchess Community College or Lackawanna College, where he plans to study marketing.
He was joined by his mother Nerlane Sterling and his sister Isabella and brother Daniel.
